Our Story
Fight Back Clothing (FBC) is a grassroots initiative founded by Gomeroi man, Cameron Manning.
Fight Back Clothing (FBC) is a culmination of my life passions which encompass the areas of First Nations activism, health, running and uplifting other First Nations people. This brand was formed based on the principles of resistance, fearlessness and always being unapologetically Black & Proud.Â
I am extremely passionate about inspiring other Blackfullas and promoting a strong, positive way of living, grounded in self-expression, health and education of our history. As a First Nations man growing up in so-called-Australia, I am inspired by our strong First Nations activists such as William Cooper, Jack Patten, Pearl Gibbs and Gary Foley who fought for the rights of our people over many decades. Growing up in the 90's and early 2000's I saw deadly First Nations athletes such as Nicky Winmar, Cathy Freeman and Anthony Mundine using their voices as professional sportsmen and women to advocate for our people. These strong Blackfullas, along with many more before them, used their platform to 'Fight Back' against the systemic racism that they personally, and our people more broadly, face whilst living in a colony built on oppression, exploitation, and discrimination against us.
As a politically active Blackfulla, I see it as my role to set a positive example for the younger generations and ensure they are equipped to take up the fight that many other strong First Nations people before us have done.
